J F Myatt is buried in the Garton Cemetery in Dickson County Tennessee. Jan.12 1843-June 8 1928. His tombstone has crossed rifles, CSA and he is listed as a Pvt. and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. The Garton Cemetery has many Confederate veterans of the 11th Tennessee Infantry Regiment, Company K. One member of Company K was Burrell Myatt, obviously a relative

The bounty record does not belong to him. At the time it was paid, David Rutledge was serving in the 1st Alabama, Mississippi & Tennessee with his brother. They were captured when New Madrid surrendered in April 1862 and weren't furloughed until September 1862.
