Family records say that he died at Camp Chase from a heart attack following measles. Possibly that's why it states "entry cancelled on roll" regarding being paroled. There is no record of him arriving at City Point, Virginia for exchange.kywiaz commented on this image. (11 Apr 2013)

The action was written up in contemporary Southern papers by an eyewitness. Records show a George Thomas Bradley in the 9th Ky Cav.

Rescued Pvt Bradley, who had lost his horse at Charleston, Tenn, in a fight with overwhelming numbers of Union soldiers, both cavalry and infantry, Dec 28, 1863.
