Flak Opens a New Door in a B-17 Flying Fortress

Despite the heavy damage, this B-17 Flying Fortress returned safely to England from Cologne Germany on 27 Sept 1944. Photo includes co-pilot 2nd Lt Winfield F Muffett, tail gunner Sgt Walter C Ingison, and waist gunner S/Sgt. James M Pierce.
