My father was in the Army Air corp, and then the Army at the end of WWII. He was an aerial photographer, who supposedly, was in one of the first groups in after the bomb. I have been searching for any records of his service during this time.

Jane,it is my understanding many Army records were destroyed in a fire which were housed in St. Louis. I found some in the Navel records for my father's battalion, etc. He was in the Pacific Theatre during the bombing of Hiroshima.
