Seaman John D. Masten of the Gunboat USS Rattler
John D. Masten was captured while attending church with his shipmates at Rodney, MS on Sunday, 13 September, 1863! His eventual death at Andersonville is listed here. The Captain was Acting Master W. E. H. Fentress.
