A long way home--Mrs. S. J. Bosher of Lockhart asks for a pass

A female hotel keeper in Lockhart, Texas, had only planned on going to Matamoros to buy supplies. Finding prices too high, she boards a blockade runner to Havana, but the ship is captured and she was taken to Key West. This letter, from St. Louis, is asking for a pass to get to Little Rock where she can visit relatives and find a way to get home to Texas.
