He111 of KG26

Heinkel He111H, coded 1H+DF or possibly 1H+DP. DF would indicate staff flight of V.Gruppe. More likely I think to be DP of 6.Staffel, II.Gruppe KG26. White fuselage band indicates theatre of operations as Mediterranean. KG26 undertook level bombing of targets, but were also specialists in anti-shipping attacks in both the Med and Northern Norway against Allied convoys.
