Arrested in Missouri for the colors of a gymnastic outfit
The letter of the Boonville, Missouri, teacher, defending a young woman who was arrested for wearing a white gymnastic outfit trimmed in red, presumably displaying Confederate colors. He says that they were following directions in a book, and that half of the class was in white and red, and the other half white and blue, to show all three colors of the United States. There was no intention to display any coded message of disloyalty.
