Sue Bryant arrested due to wearing red and white dress
Miss Sue Bryant was arrested in Boonville, MO, at least partially due to wearing a dress that was red and white, considered Confederate colors. This letter, dated September 7, 1864, appeals for her release from the prison at Warrensburg.
