Lem Bone Draws Fine of $1,000
Lem Bone, the professional gambler and member of the infamous Bone family, was fined $1,000 for running illegal gambling rooms. The usual fine was $50 but the judge put on a stiff penalty because the smaller fine never made an impact on Bone.
