Saleka Hampton was a Slave Woman

Saleka Hampton, mother of Sallie (Neely) Rush, was a slave. Her daughter was also born a slave and therefore denied rights as a 1/4 mixed blood Choctaw Indian. As well, Sallie's 10 children were also denied rights as Choctaw mixed blood Indians.
