Deserted sented to Dry Tortugas

Joshua Powell deserted in 1863. He was caught and sentenced to death by firing squad. President Lincoln changed the sentence to imprisonment for the duration of the war at the Dry Tortugas (the same place that the Lincoln assassination plotters were imprissoned).
