Gen. Nathaniel Woodhull, Died Probably September 1776
Nathaniel Woodhull was one of the three generals captured by the British after the battle on Long Island, 22 Aug. 1776. Sullivan and Stirling were treated courteously, but Woodhull died of his wounds several weeks after the battle.
