1786: Letter re: Thomas Pool being beat by Provost Marshall
New York 1786- I the subscriber do certify that i was present in the Provost when Thomas Pool was most inhumanly beat by the Provost Marshall and I have reason to believe he suffered everything he could bear with out loss of life. H? Mulligan
