William Tudor, Judge Advocate
On 10 Aug. 1776, William Tudor was sent, as a judge advocate, to New York City. A week later, he wrote encouragingly to John Adams, "From the advantage we now possess, I think Gen. Howe must be repulsed whenever he attacks ..." .
