William Delay

William Delay, from Lafayette Co, Mississippi fought in three wars. First war was the Black Hawk War where he served in Wisconsin. Then he served as a Captain in the 1st Mississippi Rifles Reg under Colonel Jefferson Davis in the United States War with Mexico. He served as a Captain in the Confederate States of America in the 9th MS Inf Reg.
