This man, my greatgrandfather, Hezekiah Kinzer, is mis-indexed. He was born in Hendricks county, Indiana and relocated with his family to Keokuk county, Iowa in 1847. He enlisted in McLeans Indep. Battery, a light artillery unit from Colorado.

Hezekiah married Rebecca Ann Lay at Paola in Lykins county, Kansas Territory on 15 Oct 1865 after being mustered out of Mcleans Independant Battery. The surname is mispelled as KINZEY. They are living in Jefferson county, Iowa in 1870 & 1880 census.
