Israel Trask, one of the youngest who served in the Revolutionary War
In his book, 1776, David McCullough mentions Israel Trask as an example of the youth who volunteered (page 35). He was "all of ten." Israel volunteered with his father, Jonathan Trask, and served as a messenger and cook's helper.
