James S. Osborne
Enlisted in the Army and was assigned to Excursion Inlet at a (1942 "secret") installation on the north shore of Icy Strait Point, Alaska. The terminal accommodated nine ocean-going vessels, six barges, two ammunition ships, and two gas oil tankers. He helped transfer supplies to ocean-going vessels for the crossing of the Gulf to Kodiak in support of the Aleutian Campaign.
