BAKER, Levi S. 1874 residence

Baker Levi S. foreman Galena elevator, r[esidence] 545 Hurlbut. This was the house L. S. Baker had built in the new Lake View neighborhood at the then northernmost part of the city. The street name and number have changed. 545 Hurlbut is now 2340 N. Cleveland. Baker remained in this house until his death in 1910. Chicago City Directory 1874, p. 145.
