"Inventory & appraisement of the personal Estate of Bella Martin a free person of colour deceased shewn by Fred. A. Ford Esqr. Admin de bonis non. The Estate of Bella Martin to the best of my knowledge and belief consists merely of a claim for three negroes a fellow named Ben now in possession of a Mrs. Johnson and a wench named Eliza & her child (an infant) named James in possession of a Mr. Hisch for which negroes suit will be brought if deemed advisable on further examination of the claim..."
