Committee to aid POWs taken at Fort Donelson
A committee of citizens from Carroll County, Mississippi, on February 25, 1862, wrote to General Beauregard to see if it would be possible to send money and clothing to the four companies of local men who became prisoners with the fall of Fort Donelson, Tennessee.
