Zachary Taylor, Civil War Pension?
President Zachary Taylor died on July 9, 1850, only a year and a half into his presidency. He fought in the Mexican War, but “Old Rough and Ready” didn’t live to long enough to see action in the Civil War. More presidents are in this collection, too.
