The Surrender of the Confederacy at Appomatox Court House April 9, 1865

General Robert E Lee surrenders his forces to General Grant on April 9th, 1865. The end of a long and bloody war has finally come to pass. The United States of America in reunited, hopefully never to be separated again.

    Where is page 2? The document above says "over" at the bottem, so where is the rest of it? Maybe I am missing the way to get to it.

    Gen. Lee's surrender at Appomattox was the beginning of the end of the war. Lee only surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia. Brig. Gen. Stand Watie surrendered the last Confederate troops on June 23, 1865.
