Revolutionary War Pension for Daniel Shays of Shays Rebellion
Daniel Shays served as a captain during the Revolution. In 1786-87 he was part of (and gave his name to) Shays Rebellion which helped fuel the movement to strengthen the federal government by modifying or replacing the Articles of Confederation.
