Note that his daughter Bettie Ballow Winn is ony 11 days old, but wife is missing. His wife Bettie Ballow Winn died in childbirth and he named the baby for her. Unfortunately the baby died soon thereafter. Dr. Winn's papers are at University of Va. library

Thomas Edward Meredith, B. Aug 10 1836 (Fam Bible), twin of Emily Meredith (Winn). Thomas was a public school teacher in Hanover County. No known Civil War Service. His brother Winston Meredith was mortally wounded at the battle of Saylers Creek

Was originally buried elsewhere at Arlington Cemetery but was reinterred in the new Confederate section i n 1900/1901. Source Atlanta Constitution 9/17/1900
