1865.02.06 Elihu swears allegiance to the United States and signs oath (14 months AFTER he says he will). He lists his residence as Madison County, KY. His skin is pock-marked, brown hair, grey eyes, 5 feet 10 inches tall.

1863.12.15 Elisha (Elihu) Gall, prisoner of war at Camp Douglas, Ill. expresses desire to take oath of allegiance to the United States. He says (apparently) that he "was deceived and wishes to take the oath." (Looks like a mass change of mind for MANY prisoners because the date is PRINTED on the form.)
