According to my father, him and his Dad Alois Ellis moved to Broward County Florida, sometime between 1935-1935. His mother he believes passed away when he was younger, and he doesn't remember his sister Lucile.

Lucile Ellis is my aunt and the 1930 Fifteenth Census of the United States Population Schedule they said she was born in Florida, but I can't seem to find anything on her. Her father Alois is a missing person, or changed the spelling of his name.

The date on his army records states 1926, these are the right records even though he was born 1930. The truth is that he lied about his age to get into the service, because he knew if he get out of Broward County, that he would be heading for a lot of trouble with the law. Even at such a young age, he rather fight for his own county, then stay where it was safe. He wanted to grow up and be a man, ...more
