Rachel Bell is the mother of Margaret Bell Grant, wife of John C Grant , listed elsewhere in the 1860 census. Rachel Bell is my g.g.g. grandmother.

William C. Hinton married Josie Belle Daniel. She was died before the 1930 census. This is known because he is listed as a widower and living in the household of his father, William H. Hinton, age 70 who was the owner of a farm and actively farmed with his son, Herbert T age 39. William C, age 35 was listed as a laborer in Highway Construction. Father, Herbert T Hinton is listed as a white man, born in Tennessee. He lists his parents as born in Tennessee. This would make him born in 1860/ before civil war. He lists his parents as born in TN also. Both Herbert T and William C Hinton, brothers, are listed as mixed blood Cherokee. Bertha E. Darter, the wife of Paul H. Darter was my maternal aunt. Bertha was the twin of Bessie Daniel shown on the same census page in the household of their father, Ross Daniel. Interestingly one would think from their listed ages that they were two years apart. Not so! They were born on March 8, 1900.

Ross Daniel was my Maternal Grandfather. He and my Grandmother married when both were 18 years old and both orphaned. They had 8 children: Jose Belle, Mary Jane, Ocie, Bertha, Bess, Leon R, Samuel J, and Carrie (my mother). Additionally they raised the Justice children who were orphaned by the deaths of their parents. Ross and Bertha Daniel Justice wer 1/2 brother and sister.
