About rkaye
I love my country and am proud to be an American. I love history and being descended from early American settlers has instilled a great deal of pride in the USA and I don't like to see anyone trying to destroy this great land. God Bless America.

Page 11 references this Foster being from Tuscaloosa. My GG Grandfather George W Foster lived in Lauderdale CO AL and never in Tuscaloosa.

This is a different George Foster in Tuscaloosa and not the same person as George W Foster in Lauderdale County AL. Same name, but two different people.

I do believe this could be my GG Grandfather. The story always told was brother against brother were in the civil war. Lemuel Ezell(e) started out as Confederate, deserted and taken prisoner, and then joined the Union till the end. I was always told he was in the Union while his brothers were Confederate. Very interesting.

I was so very excited to find these records on my 5th Great Grandfather and his rev war service. This is the first actual document I have found where my 4th Great Grandparents provide affidavits and in fact verified that Elizabeth was in fact John Tankersley's daughter and was also married to John Lock(e) as evidenced by census etc records.

As an American whom has read so much on the Holocaust I am appalled at this period where so many hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children were killed by the Nazi's. My heart is saddened to know how many families were completely lost and those who survived to learn of their other family members lost. Let us never forget. God bless all their souls. Kaye Tampa FL
