My name is Katrina Sampler McGhee, and I live in Griffin, Georgia. I have always loved to visit cemeteries, and have been interested in my family history since I was in my teens. Just wish I had asked a lot more questions and had written more of it down! I love sharing the information that I have. Some people act like they want to keep all their pictures and information to themselves-–not me. I want everything passed down to future generations so that nothing else will be lost concerning my family. The lines that I am researching are: MCGEE/MCGHEE, WHITE, MELTON, WILLIAMS/INGRAM, GAILLARD/HOWARD, CHERRY, and SAMPLER. I'm in the process of trying to get my information organized. Things are scattered, plus I’m taking care of my dad who has dementia, and helping my daughter with school. I periodically get sidetracked so if I’m not always available at the time information is posted, that’s the reason. I am looking forward to sharing what I have and hopefully others can help me overcome some of the roadblocks that I now face.--Sometimes I think that my family research is too important to me, but God must have thought that genealogy was important too, since there is so much of it in the Bible.
