  • This photo was taken when Norris was promoted to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on August 23, 1862 and assigned to Company E, 2nd Regiment of Artillery, 112th Pennsylvania Volunteers. Born March 15, 1837 he died December 15, 1868.   • Thank you for the note John! Our Calvin passed the sword to my uncle Fred in Dayton, WA. When Uncle Fred passed, it went to my Dad, me and now with my niece Lisa and her family in Houston (Lisa used the sword to cut her wedding cake as did my sister). Lisa and I spoke about the sword coming back to the Norris side of the family in the distant (we hope) future. I have a great photo of Captain ...more
