This is my Uncle, he died at age 20 on the USS Arizona on December 7, 1941. My Aunts always said he was bright, funny and well liked. He was engaged at the time of his death to a girl from London, KY. My grandparents were devastated by the death of their son. He was a hard working farmboy from London, KY who grew up during the depression going from farm to farm that his father bought in London, KY, Indiana and Missouri. He had two sisters and a brother, my father, Foster Curtis Brock II who joined the Navy at the age of 17 after hearing of his brothers death.He was only 20 years old at the time of his death. ...more
