What genpics1968436 is doing on Fold3…

  • Lewis Bible died in 1843 before he could claim a pension. I do not find his service record at 3 Fold. I have papers in my possession which I got from Wash. which prove his service. I am a member of 1812 on his record as a Drummer in the 4th Regt. of the E. TN Militia from Greene Co. TN

  • Thank you for presenting this important document. Only a few Americans realize that the War of 1812 was the FIRST war that the US fought as an independent country. Francis Scott Key saw the American flag flying over Ft. McHenry and gave it a song.

  • I wish to put the name of my cousin from Monahans, TX who was on the Death March. I know that the march affected him for the rest of his life.--S. SGT Everett Samuel Neblett U. S. Army--13 Feb 1923--22 July 1984

  • Amos Kilburn has a pension which was granted in the 1850's. Do you have these pensions online?

  • There are supposed to be 114 members whose names begin with "B" in the 2nd TX MTD CAV Rifles that went with Gen Sibley to NM. However, I am looking for an Allen Baker who is on the Soldiers and Sailors web site, but there are no "BA" names listed as well as some other names. Need to find his service record.

  • This page has been incorrectly labled as taking place in VA. However, if the entire document is read, it states that this marriage bond took place in Greene Co., TN where Sparling Bowman lived after moving from Washington Co., MD.
