The Mercer family left Philadelphia Sept. 12, 1892, for Canyon Creek Ranch, Sweetwater Co., WY, where Henry d. Dec. 2, 1893; buried Rock Springs Cemetery, Rock Springs, WY.

Phoebe was in NYC with her youngest daughter, Luella E. Jones, also known as Ella and Lucy Ella, who was working for a mattress maker. Ella was still in NYC in early 1894 but soon joined her mother & sister in Wyoming, then on to Bellingham by 1897.

Phoebe A. Palmer, b. ca. 1815, Frankfort, Franklin Co., KY, md. Evan W. Jones, March 27, 1836, Fountain Co., IN (his third wife); he d. ca. 1863-1870, Titus Co., TX. She d. April 28, 1900, Whatcom Co., WA; buried Bayview Cemetery, Bellingham.
