My father's squadron had the duty the day Pearl Harbor was bombed.

Lt Hugh R McKibbin was my father. He was a pilot for Secretary of the Navy Knox and also for Admiral Nimitz. He graduated in 1833 from the US Naval Academy and got his wings in 1936 in Pensacola. He was also a line officer and the first in his class to get a wing.

Hugh Robert McKibbin Jr was my only brother. He died on February 2, 1968 during the Tet Offensive. He was a first Lieut in B CO, 34th Armor, 1st Infantry Division.
