Given name was Reimer E. Schluter. A personal book of his indicates it was given to him on his 13th birthday Oct. 21, 1906 (not Oct 12). He had a brother named Hans, his mother's name was Anna, and they were residing in Imperial, Kansas at the time. Ray was a Sgt in the U S Army in 1918, at Camp Funston..and served in Co. G, 314th Ammunition Train of Field Artillery.
