Mary was Born

| Chicago Il

Marys baby book was filled with wonderful facts and letter of congratulations from many hi-end people of the time- Governor sent a Wire too. I was givien this book by Mary, my grandmother about a year or 2 prior to her death. At her funeral I was asked by her children to give it to them so they could have copies made for everyone- of course I never got a copy or the original back.  I was told it was going to her son John in Arizona.  That was 6/3/2004 I dated the turn over to Helen (Mary's oldest daughter) and have not seen it since- would love to have it again as was my Grandmothers wishes...Tricia Santoriello-Smith

Marys Feet

| Boca Raton Fl

Mary wore an 8-8 1/2 extra narrow shoe- it was really hard to find shoes in this day and age for her.  She told me when she was a little girl in Chicago they had neighbors that were well off and from Asia. They told her mother about how over in Asia women of "means" had slender feet and the would bind the babys feet so the bones would not spread. Mary was sure this is what happened to her feet as EVERYONE else has regular sizes in the family and great grand children still do.
