Pat, I am descended from Eldad via Sarah Easton and we have formed a research group with several descendants, both via Sarah and also Hannah Case--we have a DNA testing project via Jac Smith's husband, Led, descended from Seth Smith. Jac just died this last June, so we are dedicating this site and project to her. SAR Applications just recently posted on Ancestry this summer had one application via the oldest son Joseph Smith's oldest daughter Freelove Smith who married Ebenezer Bryant. The application mentioned a father perhaps being Gideon Smith and Sarah Porter, so we are pursuing that as one possibility--the DNA Smith project is by groups by locality and Led Smith is a male descendant, that could possibly tell us if he is in Gideon's group or another one. We are posting documents, data, researcher's contact info, Message boards at this site if you would like to join (just request membership): eldadsmith.myheritage.com. Thanks, Pat Walker, descendant of Aurelia Smith
