Stories

I remember Chubby having a smile on his face all the time! Everytime I see him he would always say "cuzz where the party at"! I remember going to his house and playing basketball with him and "NOOKIE" Brian! WE also would ride bikes all over Chadbourn. Chubby will always be missed!

I remember playing the game on the Nintendo as a little girl and Nookie and Chubby started fighting over the phone, ducking between them, laughing, and trying to shoot that dog on the game that laughed everytime I missed and Aunt Effie breaking them up. I remember seeing Chubby on the tractor with Dad and the times he stayed over and was the son my Daddy never had. I remember all the jokes he played on Aunt Effie changing the channel or turning off the TV from the other room. I remember Chubby running in the house saying "Wassup Cuzins" when we least expected him to stop by. I remember my freshman year at WCHS when I got sympathy from Ms. Epps for a little while because I said Chubby was my big brother...she felt sorry for me because "that boy would worry Jesus"...lol...until my Dad told her he's really my 1st cousin. LOL! I remember my mom and Amber hearing something from the barn and seeing something come toward the house and Amber throwing that water jug and Chubby coming into view laughing so hard about Amber using that jug as a weapon. I remember UNC days when my big brother came to help me move my stuff and asking if I had any Carolina girls for him. I remember just loving to be around him because he kept me laughing. I remember 4th of July weekend 2007 when my big brother introduced me to my neice Kamiah and how I kept hugging him over and over again and didn't want him to leave...my last time seeing him alive. I remember that Sunday morning call that changed us all forever...the screaming and crying...dreading to get to Aunt Effie's and praying so hard that it wasn't true. I remember telling my brother goodbye and promising to always look out for his kids. Most of all...I remember his smile and ability to keep everybody laughing. Chubby...you're physically gone but very much alive in my heart. Miss you and love you bro!

I truly remember all the times I had to give up my bed when he stayed over 'cause my dad was determined to have his "son" with him on that dang tractor. And the family get-togethers playing kick ball in the front yard...man those were some good times. Chubby will always be remembered and loved. That's how family does it! RIP bruh.

Chubbie what can I say! Lord it is so much I can sit here and say that I remember while the tears roll down my face!!! I never would have thought I would have to answer my phone one Sunday morning and hear the bads news that you where gone to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! But in all the hurt I know that you are watching down on me, and wouldn't want me to cry the way I do!! YOU WHERE MY ACE, MY BROTHER, MY PROTECTOR, MY BESTFRIEND, MY COUSIN!!! WE WHERE TWO PEAS IN A POD,!! YOU WHERE THERE TO MY RESCUE ANYTIME I NEEDED YOU!! But through it all I still have a brother, and Nookie has really stepped in, not taking your place, but giving me that brotherly love that i sooooo much miss from you!!! I LOVE YOU AND I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU, I WILL ALWAYS CARRY YOUR SPIRIT IN MY HEART!! I am gonna stop right here cause it hurts like it happened yesterday and the tears won't stop falling!! I LOVE YOU, AND REST IN PEACE, YOU ARE TRULY ONE OF GODS ANGELS NOW!!!!!!!!!

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal...RIP CHUBBY...

HS Graduation

Cerro Gordo, NC

West Columbus High School--Go VIKINGS!

I remember Rashad because we went to school from primary to graduation. He was always smiling, with that fast little walk he had. He will always be remembered by me. RIP Rashad!!!!

Everything, he was like a son to us. Willie and I loved him so much and he always made us laugh. the sleepovers , the family gettogethers. It was all good.

Chubby was my cousin but more like my brother. When we were younger ever Saturday i would get on my bike and go 2 aunt Effie house so I could chill with Chub and Nokie. He had these tractors that we use to play with so u know i had to go and beg my pops to buy me the samething. I did not hang out alot but when ever Chub call and wanted to go I was there. Every thing Chub did I did (wanted to be like Chub), and of course he started driving trucks and when i got out the Army I road with him and then i started driving trucks. My brother my cousin my friend.

I LIVED WITH CHUBBY FOR 3 MONTHS... THE BROTHER HELPED ME GET ON MY FEET WHEN I HIT ROCK BOTTOM. HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED. ONE OF THE GREATEST HEARTS I EVER MET. MUCH LOVE, MUCH RESPECT

When I use to come back to Chadbourn for the summer Chubby was my little boyfriend! Both of us were short so we had to like each other! lol Tonya & Sonya always got me to see him whenever I came back. He always had manners & very respectable...the coolest short dude ever. He is truly missed...

Wow it is such a tradegy. I remember him from school and he was always cracking jokes. He will definetely be missed.

Two years ago today our family lost someone so precious and dear to all of us. He was the joker, the one that kept you laughing about any and everything. He was the big brother who would listen and lend a hand whenever he could. He was a friend that you knew had your back just because that's what family does. He was all that and so much more to us. Chubby, we loved you and you are forever in our hearts and on our minds. We know you're in a better place, so we'll forever carry the memories with us to lift us when we feel down. Rest on my brother, my friend. God truly has an angel in you. <3

Chubby was my friend, like family we grew up in the same neighborhood together, went to school together, and graduated together. Even beyond the CONSTANT jokes we still remained friends. Thanks for the memories you will never be forgotten. Everytime I go down chadbourn clarden road and look down that dirt road I will always think about him. I know that there is someone up there taking care of him (Frances).

I remember my big brother always being around, cracking jokes, and all the laughter. Happy Birthday big bro. I love you & miss you so much!

Thinking of you today cuz and all the crazy things you would do/say...all I can do is laugh at all the good times...you are truly missed <3

Tomorrow marks 3 years since you've been gone and we miss you still. All the laughter and jokes...the all around good family times will be in our hearts always. The family has not been the same but we know you are in a better place. Your memory will forever live through your children and in each of us who loved you. Sleep on brother until we meet again. <3

Happy Birthday Chubby; know that we'll be partying for you wherever we are all around the world...I know you are somewhere giving God a fit!!! Love you and miss you so much.
