Battle Ground Veterans Memorial

RAYMOND EARL CARPENTER1, 2, 3 was born on 08 Mar 1947 in Washington state1, 2, 3. He died on 20 Feb 1968 in Hai Phong, Vietnam1, 2, 3. He lived in Virginia3 and in Amboy, Clark County, Washington1, 3. Raymond graduated in 1965 from Battle Ground High School4.

Raymond Earl Carpenter1, 2, 3 was Killed in Action. He arrived in Vietnam 15 May 1967, assigned to the U.S. Army; South Vietnam1, Military Region 1 - Quang Tri; Light Weapons Infantry; attached to B Company, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Battalion. His final rank was Sargent. He died from injuries sustained from small arms fire1. Raymond was buried in La Center, Clark County, Washington at the Mountain View Cemetery, Plot: North Section, Site 29 2, 3.
