Susie Fields was the eldest sister of my grandfather, Abram Blivens Simpson.  His parents were Saral Williams and Chrisman Simpson.  One of his bibles listed Susie as Susie Simpson and her birth date as May 22nd 1850.  He also listed his mother as Sally Simpson.  I have talked with several of my close relatives who assured me Sally Simpson was named Sarah Williams by birth.  I have read on several internet sites that Aunt Susie's father was a Fields.  My Mother was named for her Aunt Susie, her father's sister.

Actually Susie Simpson was a Fields, d/o Esau Fields & Sarah Williams Simpson. Susie married (1) Amon Brummett (2) Larkin Howard. Susie is my paternal great grandmother.
