Apr 2011: Her name is Melvina Wilkey Brooks Strickland born in Tiverton RI in 1830 and died in 1879.

Oh for future reference - His father - Dwight - was born in New Hartford, CT and his mother - Celia - was born in Black Brook, Clinton Co., NY. His parents - Judson Strickland and his mother - Melvina (unk) Brooks Strickland was born in Tiverton, RI. Just not sure who HER parents are! (as of March 2009) Give me time I will find out who! This is for future grand kids and great grand kids if any! Good Luck and I hope I get to meet you!

This is my father's father - Lawrence Strickland. He was born in 1893 in Providence, RI and died in 1974 also in Providence. He visited once in Dallas where I grew up. They DROVE from Providence to Dallas in 1958 or so. Must of been one heck of a drive!
