Melvina (BROOKS) STRICKLAND Second great-grandmother. Still researching her parents. Born in Tiverton, RI.

Goes by the name of "Mally". Mom and kids move to Providence, RI and marries Judson A. Strickland. She is born in Tiverton, RI 28 May 1830 and dies 19 Oct 1879 in Providence. Judson dies about 18 months later. Dwight (their son) goes back to Springfield to live with his mother for a time then later returns to Providence to marry and raise a family. She is my second great-grandmother on my father's side.
