Sandro was just a great person and I'm so sorry and sad that he gave his life for his country and fellow Americans at such an early age. He and his family lived two houses down from where I grew up in Falls Church. He would baby-sit me and my brothers and sister. His whole family were just the nicest people and great neighbors. (His father actually taught one of my brothers how to ride a bike.) Sandro would always take the time to play with us kids and throw the football around in the backyard. To this day, he is still missed. The neighborhood was so shocked and saddened when he died as he didn't even make it a month over in South Vietnam after his tour start date. We all loved him very much and will always be forever proud of our fallen neighborhodd hero. Thanks Sandro! We hardly got to know you. Rest in peace, brother. You are in our thoughts this Memorial Day. Mark Drury

Sandro was one of my best friends in college. We attended Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in the class of 1968. One of our classmates was President Bill Clinton. Sandro was funny and bright and his friends miss him terribly. Tom Carroll
