Gary Lynn Taylor In tribute to a soldier that I never met. I did however, have the honor to escort you home to your final resting place. You had a wonderful family and they left me with memories that will last a lifetime. Rest in peace, my friend.

I never knew Sgt. Gary Lynn Taylor, but I was assigned to escort his remains home for the funeral and burial. I did meet his parents and siblings, and they were wonderful people. They told me several things about him, so I had a little insight into his personality. He was a good person and great soldier...he took much pride in serving his country. My only regret is I never got to know the man before his untimely death. I have fallen out of touch with his family and would love to know their whereabouts if they are still alive. Hopefully they will see this comment and contact me. Rest in Peace, my comrade, you were a great soldier, and wonderful person.
