Well, since I started this page, I will be the first to give the Then & Now.  Right now I work for this website, Footnote.com.  We came up with this idea to upload yearbooks and get people from "back in the day" to contribute.  There were so many stories when we were in elementary school and I thought it would be fun to remember.  I hope everyone will share and enjoy taking a trip down memory road.

As for me now, I live in Sandy Utah and am married (Angie Heaps) with two great kids (daughter 10 & son 6).  With the exception of a short two year stint in Sweden, I have been living on the Wasatch Front my whole life.

After graduating from Highland High School, I went to Westminster College for a year before going on a LDS Mission to Sweden.  Upon returning, I continued college at the University of Utah where I received my Bachelors degree in Business Marketing.  About six years later, I returned to the UofU to get my MBA.

Every summer, I pack up the family and go camping where I can spend time with my two loves; my family and fly fishing.  I love fly fising and feel blessed to live in Utah where the fishing is some of the best in the country.

P.S. What kind of alphabetical order did Highland Park use??? What a random way to put pictures of a class together. Anna Zilbertstein??? I wonder what ever happened to our Russian friend with the ruby red earings she wore every day!

This is fun Justin! Yes, Mrs. Tiess was definitely the scariest teacher there. I can still remember how big her lips and mouth were. It's even scarier that she's still teaching! Miss Kazmir, then Mrs. Topingrud(sp?) was definitely my favorite. She let me correct all the papers. Now I let my favorite students do things to help me and they love it!

I have to admit that Mrs. Teiss, who I had in fourth grade was the meanest teacher I had while at Highland Park. I just looked up the Highland Park website and it lists Pat Teiss as still teaching fourth grade there!
