Final Servicing Mission

STS-125 was the final mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope.  It was flown by the space shuttle Atlantis and carried two new instruments:

  • Cosmic Origins Spectrograph
  • Wide Field Camera 3

The mission also replaced several components and instruments.

The Hubble Space Telescope showed us the countless galaxies that there are in the Universe.
