Comments

Eugene Francis Darter was one of three MIA from B-17 " Lonesome Polecat II". His aircraft was hit by Flak near Bremen, but the plane did not crash near Bremen; It came down in the North Sea, just off the Texel (West Frisian islands) coast, a long way from Bremen. More details about him, and the crash, can be found at http://www.airwar4045.nl
