340thBG, 486th BS, S/Sgt Cecil Claflin

13 Feb. 1945 | Italy

S/Sgt Cecil Claflin, Shot-Down in the B-25 # 42-27670, the YANKEE DOODLE DANDY of the 340th Bomb Group, the 496th BS, on 13 Feb. 1945  MACR 12092.  The Missing in Action Report was sent to Cecil's Mother in Medford, Oregon.

  Cecil was captured and detained by the Germans in  ***  Stalag Luft 3 Sagan-Silesia Bavaria (Moved to Nuremberg-Langwasser) 49-11 ***
